My husband is scratching his head as I sit and type my first entry into my new Blog about what thrills me and keeps me busy when I'm not chasing a helmet wearing toddler around the house or chauffeuring my nine year old to school, sports and outings or working full time for an Author...
What thrills me you ask?
JUNKING.
Oh. And SHOPPING.
Oh. And CREATING.
Every weekend I hop, well hopping might be a bit optimistic, so I get in the car, hot coffee in one hand and a local newspaper garage sale section in the other and yes, I'm able to drive perfectly fine thank you as I make my way through the beautiful wine country scouring tag sales, flea markets and thrift stores for the perfect discarded piece of crap, ahem, I mean vintage treasure.
Here I will brag, ahem, I mean write about the fabulous country finds and bargains I have practically stolen from some poor unknowing garage sale host in attempt to make their junk even more amazing (my) junk; thus my new name...
Tah-Da!
And, because "Junk In My Trunk" was already taken.
I will post bargains I've found, before and after pictures that might eek some inspiration for you to go and find some great crap, ahem, I mean treasure of your own to beautify. I intend to blog about the things that I am passionate about: junking, decorating, entertaining, food, cooking, art, mixed media, scrapbooking and wine country living. Of course my family is also my passion, but I have my own Blog for them here: http://doodle--bug.blogspot.com/ It's hard and complicated mixing decorating with autism and epilepsy so they are separate even though they are all very much a part of ME.
